What is Zoozr?
Zoozr is a collection of search engines that are based on the Google Custom Search Engine.
In Zoozr, you can search a specific topic to find more relevant results.
How does it work?
Zoozr uses the Google Custom Search Engine technology to slightly modify your search results.
For example, if you use the Zoozr Software Search, your results will include more sites that provide free software downloads, and less sites that are hard to navigate or contain more ads than content.
Easy access to search
Zoozr makes it easy for you to access its specialized search engines.
- If you are using iGoogle, you may add the Zoozr iGoogle Gadget to access all the search engines from one place.
- If you are using a modern browser, you may add each of the Zoozr search engines to your browser's search box.
What sites are included?
Zoozr results usually include the entire web as it is indexed by Google.
The difference is that some sites will appear higher in the results than they will in
a standard Google search.
In general, Zoozr results will:
- Upgrade sites that are easy to navigate.
- Upgrade sites that provide good content but will normally not make it to the top results page.
- Downgrade sites that show more ads than actual content.
- Downgrade sites that are clones of other sites.
Zoozr is updated regularly. More search engines are added all the time and engine definitions are fine-tuned frequently.
